Solutions

• Sourceforge, where the PPA is kept, has restrictions placed on some who may not be able to access the site. A solution is to use a vpn access to get the files.
• There are times when the Guayadeque Database can become corrupt. The solutions is to close Guayadeque and then delete the file ~/.guayadeque/cache.db then restart guayadeque again. That should correct it and you will need to rescan the library to repopulate your collection.
• SVN Updates. It cannot be stressed enough how critical it is to stay up to date in Guayadeque using the SVN process. All bug fixes come through this process. Installing the SVN method is outlined here.
• The Guayadeque panel icon is not transparent. This is a known issue that has not been resolved. A fix that works for me is to open another application that uses the panel (VLC, Grsync) and this corrects the Guayadeque Icon
• Running BackTrace to send back to the developer:

cd guayadeque
./buildd
sudo make install
gdb guayadeque
from gdb type run [enter]

This will compile Guayadeque with debug information and will run it from console to debug using the debuger gdb . Once you get the crash at some point you must get back to the console and type bt and this will show a few lines of code calls and numbers.
